Naukasana is comprised of two words
Nauka-Boat
Asana-Yoga Pose
The body form V-shape where balance is entirely on the buttocks. There are different variations and traditions, the arms, legs and torso may take different positions.

How to perform Naukasana


1.Lie flat on the ground together with your arms by your side. 
2.With an exhalation, you lift both of your legs straight in the air and at the same time lift your upper body from the ground with your arms stretched out towards your legs.
3.Hold the posture until you are feeling your muscles getting tired and slowly place your body back onto the ground.
4.Increase the length of holding the yoga posture with each time you practice.


Benefits of Naukasana


1.The boat pose strengthens your belly muscles also your thigh muscles. 2.Internally it is beneficial for kidneys, thyroid gland, and prostate glands.
3.Naukasana improves digestion and maybe a good exercise for training your belly. 
4.It removes toxins from the body and makes the body active and energetic.


Tips and Help


Depends on your comfort zone; you can either increase the length of holding asana. If you want to lose weight or burn extra fat from your belly, you can repeat Naukasana with sets of 5 or 10 but don’t rush. Don’t Compare Yourself With Others.


When to Avoid Naukasana
Those suffering from asthma, diarrhea, arthritis, and low blood pressure should not do naukasana. Women should avoid the boat pose during menstruation.
